Montreal, September 9, 2021. Midland Exploration Inc. (\u201c Midland<\/strong> \u201d) ( TSX-V: MD<\/strong> ) is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the nomination of Mr. Jean des Rivi\u00e8res as a Director of the Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is a privilege to have Mr. des Rivi\u00e8res join our team. His diversified experience in the exploration and mining industries spanning over 35 years while working in more than 50 countries, makes him an ideal candidate for our Board. He most recently held the position of Vice President Metals Exploration at BHP and previously held managerial and technical positions at Rio Algom, BHP and Noranda. After a successful career, he recently joined the board of directors of First Majestic Silver Corp. and Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. Mr. des Rivi\u00e8res holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al and a Master\u2019s degree of Science in Geology from \u00c9cole Polytechnique de Montr\u00e9al affiliated to the University of Montreal. We are thrilled to have Jean join Midland. The Corporation will benefit from his knowledge and skill sets in the years to come\u201d, commented the President and CEO, Mr. Gino Roger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midland announces that it has granted incentive stock options to Mr. des Rivi\u00e8res to acquire 80,000 common shares at $0.75 per share, for a period of 10 years. These incentive stock options have been granted in accordance with Midland\u2019s Stock Option Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
